Unione Musicale opens its 2026–2027 season with one of the most extraordinary pianists of the new generation: Arsenii Moon.
Born in St. Petersburg in 1999, Moon rose to international prominence after winning the 64th Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition in 2023. The jury unanimously awarded him the Arturo Benedetti Michelangeli Prize — not bestowed for nearly thirty years — while audiences connected from around the world honored him with the Audience Award. A triumph on every front, launching a career that has already taken him to some of the world’s most prestigious stages: Teatro alla Scala, the Konzerthaus Vienna, the Elbphilharmonie, and the Gewandhaus.
Dallas Magazine calls him “an enchanter of the piano.” Critics praise his introspective artistry, “free from any trace of showmanship or ostentation,” capable of moving listeners with a musical poetry that is sincere and entirely personal. His teacher, the great Sergei Babayan, describes him as follows:
