The Kuss Quartet — one of the most original and visionary ensembles on the European scene—returns to Turin after 16 years with a program that blends core repertoire with music of our time.
Renowned for their ability to turn each performance into a deeply engaging experience, the quartet approaches its repertoire with intelligence, freshness, and a strong sense of historical awareness. Regularly featured on the world’s most prestigious stages, the Kuss Quartet is among the few ensembles to have performed on the legendary “Paganini Quartet” Stradivari instruments, entrusted to them by the Nippon Music Foundation.

Strongly committed to promoting contemporary music, the ensemble has commissioned several new works in recent years. Their concert in Turin further reflects this mission: alongside Beethoven’s Quartet in F major, Op. 135, and Schubert’s monumental Quartet in G major, D. 887, the program features the Italian premiere of a new work by Austrian composer Johannes Maria Staud, co-commissioned by Unione Musicale.
