Pure talent, magnetic presence, and an enchanting sound: LiLa, a brilliant young Chinese cellist and one of the most promising artists on the international scene, makes her debut at Unione Musicale alongside pianist Martina Consonni, already an acclaimed figure of Europe’s new chamber music generation.
At just 22 years old, LiLa has already performed at Wigmore Hall, the Verbier Festival, Zurich’s Tonhalle, and the Berlin Konzerthaus, under the baton of conductors such as Eschenbach, Gergiev, and Spivakov. She plays a precious 17th-century cello by Giovanni Grancino, entrusted to her by the Beare’s International Violin Society.
In a recent interview with The Strad, she said: “Music is an open and authentic space where I can be myself more deeply than words allow.”
By her side is Martina Consonni, winner of over thirty international prizes and a regular guest at festivals and concert seasons in Italy and abroad. She is a refined and versatile performer, praised for her poetic touch and deep musicality.
