Dynamic, intense, and surprising: the Orelon Piano Trio is one of the brightest chamber music ensembles of the new European generation. Founded in 2019 in Cologne, they have already won over audiences and critics alike with performances that combine symphonic depth, expressive intensity, and extraordinary sonic cohesion.
Winners of the most prestigious international competitions — including ARD in Munich, Melbourne, and Graz — the Trio is made up of German violinist Judith Stapf, Catalan cellist Arnau Rovira i Bascompte, and Italian pianist Marco Sanna. Together, they bring to the stage a rich, varied, and carefully curated repertoire, where great masterpieces of the piano trio literature coexist with fascinating rediscoveries and compelling themed programs.
The name Orelon, meaning “ear” in Esperanto, reflects the trio’s deep and sensitive approach to listening that defines every one of their performances.
