After eighteen years since his last appearance at Unione Musicale, one of the most celebrated French violinists returns to the Conservatorio: Renaud Capuçon, an internationally renowned artist admired for his expressive depth, tonal elegance, and charismatic interpretation. Joining him is Guillaume Bellom, his preferred musical partner and one of the most refined pianists of his generation.

The program is entirely dedicated to Johannes Brahms and his three sonatas for violin and piano—romantic masterpieces of rare intensity that reveal complex inner worlds, balancing passionate outbursts with contemplative intimacy.
From the radiant lyricism of the Sonata in G major, Op. 78, to the serene transparency of the Op. 100, and the dramatic tension and virtuosity of the Sonata in D minor, Op. 108, the concert offers an emotionally rich journey full of nuance.
Renaud Capuçon and his magnificent 1737 Guarneri del Gesù “Panette” — once owned by Isaac Stern — produce “a warm, intense, compact sound, beautifully projected […] capable of generating color and delving into the score, bringing lyricism and expressive depth.” (L’Ape Musicale)
