The musical journey through the Baroque begins with the Suites by de Visée, composer and court lutenist, imbued with noble melancholy and precious colors. It continues with Couperin’s celebrated Concerts Royales, true gems of balance and taste. The two composers then intertwine in the mysterious and imaginative Les Sylvains, while the German style manifests itself in Johann Paul von Westhoff’s bold Imitation of the Bells, where acoustic suggestions become pure musical theater.
