With Time Traveler, Ute Lemper takes us on a musical and poetic journey through time, passing through Weimar, Berlin, Paris, London, New York, and Buenos Aires, touching places and cultures from around the world: a mosaic that reflects the artist’s life at different times and epochs, with memories, music, and anecdotes.
In addition to pieces composed by Weill, Piazzolla, Brel, Kander, Gershwin, Waits, and Alberstein, the program is enriched by her own compositions: Ute Lemper has indeed written songs inspired by the texts of Bukowski, Neruda, and Coelho, to name a few. In particular, her most recent compositions reflect her feeling of being a “time traveler.”
