Founded in 1946, Unione Musicale is based in Turin and is one of Italy’s leading institutions dedicated to organizing classical chamber music concerts.
Throughout its history, Unione Musicale has hosted thousands of events—a true river of music! It has been navigated by the world’s greatest performers: from Ashkenazy to Zimerman, countless soloists, ensembles, and orchestras have brought to life uniquely unforgettable events and major thematic cycles.
Since 2010, alongside its traditional concert seasons, Unione Musicale has introduced performances and concerts entirely dedicated to young people and schools, hosted at the Teatro Vittoria in Turin.
In recent seasons, there has been an increasing focus on innovative and experimental activities, including specific programs and formats aimed at new audiences, children, and families.
Unione Musicale has always been open to collaborations with other local and national cultural institutions.
Since 1978, it has been a member of CIDIM – the Italian National Music Committee, and since 1999, a member of AIAM – the Italian Association of Musical Activities. In 2015, it became one of the founding members of CROMA – the Coordinated Network of Associated Musical Organizations, and in 2023, of the CLASSICA KIDS, a national network of organizers and producers of classical music performances for children.
Unione Musicale is also a founding member of the Associazione Sistema Musica, which brings together the leading musical institutions in Turin.
